June Prager

June Prager enjoys creating theatre works with adult and teenage actors at all skill levels.  She has directed professional and community theatre actors as well as notable actors of stage and screen. In New York City, she served as Artistic Director for the Mirage Theatre Company and in Philadelphia, for the Hedgerow Theatre and Theatre International Exchange.   Most recently, she directed Distant Survivors and Broken Dolls, both produced by Zeiders American Dream Theater in Virginia Beach, VA.

Shadow Play: “A seldom-revived serving of marital caviar and typical, lighter Coward, requiring the most gossamer
expertise to float.  Somehow, rather miraculously, the play rises like an easy, attractive bubble, and after
all these years, with no strain or la-de-da handling of the sophisticated dialogue.  The natural grace and
charm of the two leads sets the tone.” Howard Thompson, The New York Times

“In an era of mounting denials of the historicity of the Holocaust, June Prager's play offers an opportunity to educate new sub-communities within our English-speaking cultural sphere about the horrors of the Nazi program of dehumanization and genocide.”
